Bishop Richard Williamson Anniversary – June 29,2026

June 29, 2026

Dear Friends and Benefactors of Bishop Williamson,

Today marks the fiftieth anniversary of the priestly ordination of His Excellency Bishop Richard Williamson, who was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood on June 29, 1976, at Écône, Switzerland. Tomorrow also marks the thirty-eighth anniversary of his episcopal consecration, received at Écône on June 30, 1988. It has now been seventeen months since Almighty God called him from this life on January 29, 2025.

For five decades, His Excellency devoted himself to the service of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and the salvation of souls. Throughout his priestly and episcopal ministry, he endured many trials and crosses, yet he remained steadfast in his conviction that the Catholic Faith must be preserved whole and entire and faithfully handed on to future generations.

As we commemorate these significant anniversaries, let us offer our prayers for the repose of his soul and remember with gratitude the sacrifices he made throughout his priesthood. We also remember with sincere appreciation your prayers, generosity, and steadfast support over the years, which enabled him to continue his apostolate.

To mark these anniversaries, we are pleased to enclose a memorial remembrance card in pious memory of His Excellency. May it serve as a reminder to pray for the repose of his soul and to remember with gratitude his many years of priestly and episcopal ministry.

May this commemoration inspire us all to remain faithful to Our Lord, devoted to Our Lady, and steadfast in the unchanging Catholic Faith.

It is also worth recalling his frequent encouragement to the faithful: to pray fifteen decades of the Most Holy Rosary each day, entrusting all things to Our Lady.

Please remember Bishop Williamson in your prayers:

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.

May Almighty God reward you abundantly for your continued prayers and generous support.

Yours faithfully in Christ,

Administrator
