De-Clawed Minds

When two weeks ago “Eleison Comments” suggested that any Catholic not believing 9/11 to have been an inside job might be suffering from a “de-clawed Catholicism,” one reader (at least one – probably there were many more) protested vigorously. Clearly he wondered how on earth such a question as what brought down the Twin Towers in New York, or slammed into the Pentagon seven years ago, can possibly bear on his religion.

It is possible that this reader has seriously studied the massive arguments in favor of 9/11 having been other than what our vile media continue to pretend. But those arguments are so powerful that one may have to look for some other explanation than serious thinking for so many people accepting the media’s version. For example, here are, very briefly, three arguments of the sheerest common sense:—

9/11 Questions

9/11 Questions posted in Eleison Comments on September 13, 2008

Two days ago was the seventh anniversary of that 9/11 event which changed people’s thinking all over the world. I am always surprised when people cannot see the religious dimension of what happened on that day.

Firstly, can anybody deny that since 9/11 the police-state, for instance in the USA (but not only), has made giant advances, and always in the name of 9/11? And can anybody claim that the advancing police-states make the peoples more free? Are they not rather paving the way for global enslavement? But Our Lord says that the truth will make us free (Jn.VIII, 32). Does that not tell us that 9/11 was maybe a gigantic lie?

In which case, secondly, leaving aside the nigh-on 3000 people murdered for the purposes of whoever the Insiders were, has not the moral atmosphere of the entire world been polluted wherever this event was passed off as being what the media and politicians worldwide made it out to be? And is that pollution not still continuing? And is such a massive breaking of the Eighth Commandment (“Thou shalt not bear false witness”) not a moral problem, a grave offence against God, and therefore a religious problem?

And is not the worldwide success of such a lie not a punishment from God upon the peoples of the world who do not want to have to live up to the demands of his Truth? In the time of the Antichrist, says Scripture (II Thess.II, 10–11), “to them that perish . . . God shall send the operation of error, to believe lying: that all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity.” Does “operation of error” not perfectly fit 9/11? Is then 9/11 not a major step towards the Antichrist? And is the Antichrist not a religious problem?

I hear someone objecting: “Alright, alright, the evidence persuades me that 9/11 was an inside job. But what can I do about it?” Answer, stop making your government(s) and your media into your religion, or half your religion, with a de-clawed Catholicism being the other half! Wake up! 9/11 IS a religious problem!

Airport Tyranny

Airport Tyranny posted in Eleison Comments on July 26, 2008

The United States’ T.S.A. – Transportation Security Agency – “bugs the heck out of me,” as Americans say. I cannot understand why citizens of the “home of the brave and land of the free” put up with it, and why they did not run it out of town long ago. But then I am afraid I can understand after all . . .

At airports, which is where I myself run into the Thousands Standing Around (T.S.A.), they take the form of agents appointed to interrogate passengers flying to the United States, and to check their baggage, presumably in order to make sure that they are not “terrorists.” When I flew from Frankfurt to Chicago a few weeks ago, one of them asked me what I had been doing in Germany. I dared to wonder of what concern that could be to the United States Government.

“If you have a problem with that, take it to the Government,” came the reply, “but if you don’t want to spend hours here, you had best answer.” Then came a series of questions: “Why were you in Germany? . . . Where were you? . . . How did you get from there to here? . . . Have you a ticket to prove it?” I could hardly believe my ears, yet I observed the mass of passengers apparently having no problem with this kind of treatment.

In fact they even seem to enjoy being interrogated, and then body-checked by machines more and more intrusive, if one wants to fly. I have to suppose their attitude is that at least somebody takes them seriously. But I want to yell at them, “Wake up! Can you not see that 9/11 was a Global Fraud?” But of course I would be wasting my breath on the mass of passengers, and I could be getting myself flagged by the T.S.A. as a Terror Propagandist!

Yet only a few years ago, before 9/11, such intrusion on U.S. citizens’ privacy and freedom would have been completely unacceptable. As it is, this ready compliance of passengers suggests to me that they are grateful for being protected from global “terrorists.” Do I exaggerate if I further suspect that being so examined at airports is even welcome to them as coming from their godlike Government, a ritual of their secular State religion? What other religion do most of them have?
