Walsingham Pilgrimage

Walsingham Pilgrimage posted in Eleison Comments on September 5, 2020

The inspiration for this “Resistance” pilgrimage due to take place in two weeks’ time at England’s foremost Marian sanctuary near Norfolk, East England, came directly from words of Our Lady of Akita, spoken in Japan on October 13 in 1973, already 47 years ago. Note the day and month which She chose for her pre-apocalyptic Third Message for the world, given through the humanly deaf Sister Agnes Sasagawa: the day and month of the Great Miracle of Fatima in 1917. In the course of conducting his official investigation into the authenticity of Our Lady’s intervention, the Catholic Bishop of Akita at the time consulted Cardinal Ratzinger who is reported to have said that Akita continued Fatima. In any case in 1982 that bishop, John Shojiro Ito, gave his full official approval to the devotion of Our Lady of Akita. Here is her Third Message:—

As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their colleagues . . . churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord. The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sorrow. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.

The grossly inflated corona-panic of the spring of 2020 together with the threat of its deliberate repetition this autumn and of the intended clampdown of Communism to follow upon the entire world, have given to many people to see more clearly why in 1973 Our Lady of Akita added after Her Message these words: I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Today’s problem of Church and world, caused by human beings, has long been way beyond any solution by mere human beings. If God allows, in Walsingham we shall do exactly what Our Lady asked for, to obtain Her solution, not ours!

Rosary Blast

Rosary Blast posted in Eleison Comments on August 15, 2020

In whatever events are due to fall upon us this autumn and thereafter, it will be essential for all souls who have the good fortune to believe in God to be turning in mind and heart to Him, because He is at the very centre of these events, and they cannot be understood without Him. That is why the mass of conservatives and liberals alike are today “walking in darkness.” It is only souls with the Faith that “have the light of life” (Jn. VIII, 12) who can read what is going on.

For centuries what is called “Western civilisation” has been turning away from God. Yet He alone could and did create the spiritual and rational soul which alone gives life and free-will to every man alive, and this He did to enable man to choose to go to Heaven, if he wants. If he refuses such an offer, he deserves only to go to Hell, which is what he in fact wanted in order to get away from God, because he died in a state of revolt against Him. Thus all souls on earth are all the time making their way towards Him or away from Him, in accordance with God’s justice, tempered by His mercy, both infinite in scope. At the very heart of the most bitter atheist’s being – is God.

And this turning towards or away from God is what human life on earth is all about, whether men recognise it or deny it. By today, 2020, God has been driven so far out of the picture that among men both His friends and His enemies can be more unconscious than conscious of being such, but that is nevertheless what they are, and what is driving their lives. The unconscious friends we call “conservatives” because they are trying to conserve the last remains of Christendom, better known today as “Western civilisation.” The unconscious enemies of God we call “liberals” because they are trying to liberate themselves from the same last vestiges of the Ten Commandments.

It is the greatness of God which gives to conservatives their strength, incomparably greater when they understand that much, and turn to Him, but greatly diminished if they want or try to fight for Him without Him. That is why politics today are constantly shifting to the left, because the conservatives have ever less of God in them, or to fight for. This means an ever weaker enemy in the face of the liberals, crusading with a religious fanaticism for their New World Order without God. It is only because God is involved that the clash between conservatives and liberals in the United States is on the brink of civil war, on the brink of tearing the nation apart.

Things have come so far that as far back as 1973 Our Lady said in Akita, Japan, “Only I can help you now.” There she also said, “Pray the Rosary for the Pope, for bishops and for priests.” Indeed the heart of today’s national and international problem lies in the Catholic Church, because the one and only true God has one and only one institution on earth which He Himself instituted to bring men to His Heaven, and that is the Catholic Church. The world could not possibly be in the terrible trouble in which it finds itself today had not the agents of the New World Order succeeded in infiltrating and crippling the Catholic Church at the Second Vatican Council, held in the 1960’s.

That is why these “Comments” cannot believe in or promote all kinds of well-meant but inadequate action to save Church or world, but they can and do believe in a “Rosary Blast” to be held next month, between Friday and Sunday, September 18 to 20, at the foremost shrine of Our Lady in England, at Walsingham in Norfolk, 27 miles from the city of Norwich. Let anyone interested in really helping to solve the problems of Church and world contact respicestellam2015@gmail.com in order to take part in praying five complete Rosaries in some 40 hours. Mother of God, help!

Kyrie eleison.

Youth Uprising

Youth Uprising posted in Eleison Comments on December 14, 2019

Wherever complicated and controversial ideas are being introduced to the public at large, it must be a classic technique of propagandists to focus people’s attention on some striking image which will remain in their minds to carry with it the new message. Here was surely the part designed to be played by the statues of Pachamama which were highlighted from beginning to end of the recent Synod of bishops held in Rome supposedly to advise the Pope on the future of the Catholic Church. The Pope himself said that they were statues of Mother Earth, in other words pagan idols. They certainly caught the attention of Catholics. A young Austrian man and his friend threw five of them into the River Tiber. The interview he gave afterwards to John-Henry Westen of Life Site News was highly edifying, and “amidst the encircling gloom” it deserves to be reproduced here, albeit abbreviated and adapted, as usual. Alexander Tschugguel, is 26 years old, was married only this summer and lives in the centre of Vienna.

What motivated you to throw out the idols? Did you think of the possible consequences for yourself?

With my wife I took an interest in the Synod. We visited the church where Amazonian exhibits were on display. I immediately saw the Pachamama statues as being idols breaking the First Commandment. My motive for acting was simple – get them out of the Catholic church, get paganism out of the Catholic sanctuary. As for consequences, I never thought what an impact throwing them out would have. I thought, truly serious consequences are, not getting to Heaven. In comparison, this act was not too much for me.

Do you mind telling us about your life in the Catholic faith?

I only became a Catholic when I converted at the age of 15 from Lutheranism. The more I investigated the Catholic faith, the more beautiful it became. I can no longer imagine not being Catholic.

How did you prepare spiritually to throw out the idols?

With a great deal of prayer. Many Rosaries every day, and daily Mass if possible. We prayed right up to entering the church to throw out the idols, and even while we were throwing them out. Spiritual preparation was everything. Without the prayer, the act would have been impossible.

Were you scared of the authorities, of breaking the law, of possible confrontations over the idols?

We were not looking for a fight, just to get the idols out of the church. We entered the church the moment it opened, just to avoid confrontation. We were neither stealing for personal use, nor seeking publicity. If any prosecution was to follow, we trusted in calm and prayer to deal with it, if and when it happened.

How did you react later when the Pope as Bishop of Rome apologised for your treatment of the idols?

Firstly, he called them “Pachamama,” so they really were idols. Secondly, we acted not against the people of Amazonia, but for them to have the real Catholic religion. “Holy Father, please understand. We simply do not want idols in the Church. We want the Church to follow Jesus Christ and Church Tradition.”

Many people would say, you simply hate Pope Francis.

I would never hate the Pope. I want to hate nobody. He needs our prayer and our humble help every day to make it easier for him to understand us. If the Synod is to help him, why cannot the laity help him?

Your act sparked valour all over the Church. Even high churchmen called your act “heroic.”

I am flattered, but what we did was never about us. We only meant to do what was right in the eyes of God. The First Commandment forbids bowing down in front of any graven image. That bowing down is exactly what happened in the Vatican gardens.

You followed the Synod. What about it, and what about its outcome?

It announced that it would deal with closed questions, like married priests and women priests, which made me suspicious. Then the whole political side of the Synod came into focus – it was a big mixture of wrong ideas in faith and politics. But the Synod was only to advise? Now they are saying it is to be applied, for instance in Germany. People must realise – behind the Synod was the whole globalist agenda.

You have taken action! How do you advise other young folk like yourself to go into action?

Visit the nearest most Traditional church. Pray tons of Rosaries. Read up on the Church’s philosophy and history. Talk to family, parish, friends. Speak up! Join pro-life, pro-family, help your priest, and so on . . .

Convert Today – II

Convert Today – II posted in Eleison Comments on March 9, 2019

Dear young friend,

Congratulations on having received from God important graces of conversion which give you a fighting chance of saving your soul for eternity! For you may fall by the wayside like any of the rest of us (I Cor. X, 12) on the narrow path leading to Heaven (Mt. VII, 14), but if you want to get to Heaven, then with the grace of God you will do so, despite anything that the world, the flesh and the Devil can throw at you. For make no mistake, you and I are alive and Catholics in order to save our souls by loving God and by loving our neighbour as ourselves. On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets, yesterday, today and tomorrow, down to world’s end. Not even the modern world changes such basics.

Therefore today’s situation of Church and world may appear more frightening than ever, but you need not let yourself be frightened. “For I am sure,” cries out St Paul “that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus Our Lord.” (Rom. VIII, conclusion). However, there is one thing that can separate us from God, and which fills Hell with the damned souls of the majority of human beings that ever lived or will live (Mt. VII, 13), and that is – sin. Therefore whatever else you do, “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil. II, 12), because the prospect of eternal damnation is too horrible to think of, and keep constantly in front of your mind the Four Last Things: Death, Judgement, Hell and Heaven. And stay close, wherever reasonably possible, to the Sacraments, especially Confession and Mass, so as to be living regularly in the state of grace.

In this connection, to save our souls Our Lady knows that modern times do make Catholic life difficult, so she has given us a special remedy – the Five First Saturdays. Find out all about them, in all their detail, especially by means of this flyer, and then do them as soon and as faithfully as possible, because any Catholic who knows about them and does not pick up on Our Lady’s offer of this easiest possible means of salvation, needs to have his head examined. Her offer is too generous to be true? No, She knows exactly what you yourself have learned the hard way, namely that today’s atheistic materialism, lies and corruption, excessive comfort and freedom, do all act as obstacles between her human children and her divine Son, so here is Her answer. By doing exactly what She asks, you will also be doing the most you can to obtain for the Pope the grace to consecrate Russia to Her Heart, which is the God-given key to unlocking today’s universal troubles.

Meantime on the supernatural level, use the time presently available to you to pray and study. Pray as many as you can each day of the 15 Mysteries of the Rosary, the next greatest prayer to Mass, and study everything that you can lay your hands on said and written by Archbishop Lefebvre, God’s own guide through this unprecedented Church crisis. Read also any other Catholic books (from before the 1960’s) which catch your interest. Dutiful but uninteresting books will not give you as much. Likewise exploit, but beware of, the Internet, where treasures are surrounded by traps. By all means meet a variety of Catholic priests and learn from each of them, but not to the point where you would get confused. Visit communities, and stay as long as you are welcome in any surroundings where you find God.

And lastly, on the natural level, by all means look for honest work if you find that as a man you are getting out of balance without it, but avoid committing yourself long-term until you are sure that you have found God’s will for you. By the same token, treat the girls chivalrously and avoid choosing a wife until you have found your life’s work. A wise girl hangs back from a man who has not yet found his work.

And may God bless you, and His Mother protect you. Vaya con Dios!

Kyrie eleison.

Catholic Life?

Catholic Life? posted in Eleison Comments on March 18, 2017

Another young man writes to me about the problem of living as a Catholic in today’s world around us. But what Catholic can not have a problem in today’s world? His questions as to world and Church are in italics. Some advice from the author of these “Comments” follows:—

It is more and more difficult for me to live a life consistent with the Catholic Faith. As for the world, should I be thinking, as soon as I earn my own living, of moving to another country, e.g. France, in order to seek there the means of founding a Christian family (e.g. wife, Catholic priests consistent with the defence of Tradition, &c)? As for Mass, the Traditional Mass nearest to my city is in B., where there is a chapel of the Newsociety and another chapel which depends on the Newchurch. What would your Excellency recommend me to do? I know of no priests of the Resistance in my country, nor even of many true Catholics, as it seems to me.

As for the world I would not recommend your moving to any other country. There is every likelihood that you would meet there with the same problems, and you would have severed your native roots in your own country. You may think those roots in a modern city are not worth much but they are better than none. “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.” You would risk jumping “from the frying pan into the fire,” instead of jumping from the frying pan onto the kitchen table. Providence has put you in the city where you have now your family and your friends. The solutions today are rather internal than external, above all when World War may start before long (the whole USA System is against Trump, and it wants war!).

Similarly with attending Mass. The “other chapel” that you mention was once better than it is now. Likewise the SSPX, as you know. The apostasy today is all around. I would beware of geographical solutions. You could attach one day to the best-seeming priest, and a little while later he goes crazy too. That has happened all too often in today’s Church. The solution has to be internal rather than external.

As for the internal solution, since you read the ‘Eleison Comments,’ then you know how often and repeatedly I recommend praying the full 15 Mysteries of the Rosary every day. Good books (and good music) can also help considerably to nourish and protect the mind and the heart. Read what genuinely interests you, and do not read merely dutiful books because you will not get out of them nearly as much. Almighty God has seen from eternity what a mess the modern world would get itself into. He has also seen from eternity that there would be souls today still wanting to go to Heaven. Is it imaginable that even in today’s infernal big cities He would have left such souls with no recourse if only they wanted to stay on track for Heaven?

Yet He foresaw that everything external would fall under the control of His enemies: telephone calls, emails, drones, universities, politics, law, medicine, etc., etc. That is why I think that what He means by allowing such power to His enemies is to drive us back to Him and to a true inner practice of His holy religion despite the worst that Popes and priests can do. Therefore, in my opinion, be content to attend the least contaminated Tridentine Mass that there is anywhere near you, get regularly to Confession with any priest still willing to hear Confessions and who does not tell you that a sin is not a sin, and find the way to work into your day all 15 Mysteries of the Rosary. And then “possess your soul in patience” and quietly beg God to show you the way to Heaven, and to intervene here below before everything is lost. Despite all appearances, He is still in perfect control.

Kyrie eleison.

Catholics’ Distress

Catholics’ Distress posted in Eleison Comments on October 15, 2016

A world wanting less and less of God constantly wears down Catholics. Here is another reader’s cry:—

I ask myself, how is it possible to keep the Faith in the general situation of the Church today with its absolute lack of shepherds? For a few months we were with the Society of St Pius X, months which taught us the value of Tradition. We looked into the story of Archbishop Lefebvre’s struggle, and we saw how he is being betrayed. We followed the “Resistance” through the website of Non Possumus. For a few months we were deceived by Fr. C., who calls it “Desistence.” We were undeceived and left his group. Now we can no longer go to the Society because they insist that we join in certain activities, meetings of altar-boys and so on. They require information about us, and to find it out send our way married couples heavily committed to the Society. Much of the time we spend trying not to say things that would prevent us from receiving Holy Communion, as happens to some people because they are against Pope Francis, or for the “Resistance.” Right now we are going to the Catholic Maronite Church where at least the Consecration is valid. But we are disappointed to observe that they accept Vatican II in general, and they asked me to allow my girls to serve on the altar. When I refused, they said “We are all children of God,” and so on, to prevent discrimination against females serving on the altar.

I have nobody I can go to Confession to. I have a continual struggle at work where I never stop speaking of God and of current events, despite the school being secular and secularist, so that the personnel are all employees of the State. Following your advice to withdraw into the shadows to prepare for the descent into the catacombs I am wary of social contacts, but it is difficult to fight on your own. We are now in contact with prople of T.F.P. (Tradition, Family, Property). I am not sure what their doctrine is. But what can we do? The struggle is weighing down heavily upon me. In one school where I work one professor is to my knowledge a Freemason. Despite its being a State school, its whole orientation is religious, but in a deistic way, i.e. without Christ. What can I do? In this country there is nothing left, and we are at our wits’ end.

Amongst other things I wrote back to him that when the Church is being taken along the Way of the Cross to be crucified, as is happening today, then the only way not to have to carry a splinter of that Cross is not to be a Catholic. Obviously this reader wants to remain Catholic in order to get himself and his family to Heaven. So he should not be surprised to find himself suffering from splinters of Our Lord’s Cross. When he should be really worrying is when he would find himself at ease in this world around him.

As for his workplace, there is not much he can do about it. Social contacts should be maintained with prayer, charity and example, because we human beings are social animals, but let our limited energy and resources not be exhausted in throwing pearls before swine. Our Lord tells us not to condemn if we do not want to be condemned, but he also tells us to discern between wolves and true shepherds (Mt.VII, 15). So a Catholic is bound to exercise his best judgment on the variety of priests and layfolk that he meets with in the chaos of today’s Church. And in any case a family father must today lead his own family in the five-Mystery family Rosary every night (or better, morning). That will ensure that Our Lady will protect his family as only she can do through whatever grave events lie ahead of us.

Kyrie eleison.
